One and many pages
Digitally printed concertina. Plain board cover with blind debossed title. 10.5 x 13.5 cm.
One and many pages is part of a project for AM Bruno. Responding to a photograph of a book together with the title, the initial image was photographed, printed as a page and again photographed… until the book but not the page disappeared.
Twenty-four double-page spreads reveal the progressive degradation and distortion of the image, as it switches from analogue to digital, from print to page, and then back again.
Floe Flow
A collaboration with Sacha Lehrfreund, inspired by events that occurred one winter in a frozen Budapest. Combining a diary with photographs and scientific reports, the book links the personal and medical with the meteorological.
A Catalogue of Disappointment(s)
A triptych reveals the trials and tribulations of printmaking, housekeeping and unresolved loss.
Conservation Report
A technical report from a paper conservator acts as a narrative device telling a story of emotional and physical damage.
Inherited: A Family History of Cleaning and Keeping
Through drawings, legible and illegible handwriting as well as a technical report, the Hoover, two vacuum cleaners, one floor polisher and a carpet sweeper left behind by the artist’s mother after her death, reveal layers of emotional attachment as well as attitudes to cleaning and the problem of unwanted matter.
Residue
On packing up the family home, all that is left are the edges: the corners, the walls and the dust where the pictures once were.
